Europe Meteosat Visible Map

This animation provides a real-time update of the past 24 hours across Europe, with a 15 minute frequency. It is generated using data from METEOSAT satellites captured in the visible spectrum channels, enabling the creation of natural color images during the daylight.
The colors in the images represent the characteristics of the observed areas: green areas indicate vegetation, while non-vegetated terrain appears yellow/pink. Bright blue indicates regions covered by snow or ice, and clouds exhibit varying colors based on factors such as temperature or altitude.
During nighttime, the visible channel does not capture data, resulting in a black animation.
