Starting on May 21, with the launch of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup – Preliminary Regatta Sardinia , weather forecasts produced by ItaliaMeteo will also be available, following the recent agreement signed between the Agency and Sport e Salute.
On this page, a daily weather forecast for the city of Cagliari will be published every morning throughout the event , including hourly details from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In addition, the Agency’s forecasters will provide support to the event organizers through forecasts developed using advanced nowcasting techniques.
To ensure this service, ItaliaMeteo’s experts are using an X-band radar specially installed for the occasion, as well as an automated monitoring station located inside the Port of Cagliari.
