Italy Radar map

The map displays two products from the national radar composite of the Civil Protection Department.

A base product can be set on the map by choosing from: 
– SRI (Surface Rainfall Intensity), which provides an estimate of precipitation near the ground based on reflectivity values, with an update frequency of 5 minutes. 
– SRT (Surface Rainfall Total), which represents the cumulative precipitation recorded in the last hour, integrating radar network data with data from rain gauges, also with an update frequency of 5 minutes.

For more information on the products and to know other features, please refer to the Department of Civil Protection Radar platform. This shows, on a national scale, both current phenomena and those recorded in the last 24 hours through the processing, in real time, of raw data from the national radar network and the network of rainfall stations.
